Programs
Every Peer Play Mission program is built on the same foundation: children learning from children, through play that is genuinely fun.
Social Skills Playgroups
Come play with us! Our playgroups serve children ages 3 to 11* who could use a little extra help socializing with peers, including children on the autism spectrum and those with other developmental differences.
*The upper limit is flexible depending on individual developmental needs.
What a session looks like
Small groups of 6 to 8 children meet weekly in our sensory gym and adjoining playroom to climb, swing, pretend, build, and perform. Sessions are guided by our clinical team, who scaffold the play just enough for every child to participate, connect, and shine. Neurotypical playmates, often siblings or friends, join the groups as natural models of social play.
What children gain
Flexibility, communication, confidence, and, most importantly, real friendships. We don't drill social "skills" with rewards and worksheets; we create the conditions where connection becomes its own reward.

How we play
Our team brings more than clinical training to the gym. We enrich our interventions with the talent and experience of a diverse group of educators and child specialists with backgrounds in movement, music, art, circus, and performance. This enables us to tap into and help develop the interests, inclinations, and talents of our diverse client base.
The clinical purpose never changes; the ways in are as varied as the children.

This is where our son learned how to talk to, interact with, and enjoy spending time with peers. The space is more like a cross between a kids' gym and a toy store than a clinic. It feels warm, comforting, and inviting. If you take your child to Dr. Rocco, she will be treated as an individual, not as a diagnosis.
Wondering whether our playgroups are right for your child?
Book a low-pressure intake conversation. We'll get to know your child, answer your questions, and see if the program is a good fit.
